Little bo....baskets, little baskets ......

Little baskets here in Townsville,
Little baskets made of twiggy twacky,
Little baskets here in Townsville,
Little baskets none the same.
There's a green one and a red one
And a blue one and a yellow one,
And they're all made out of twiggy twacky
And they none of them the same.
(Apologies to Malvina Reynolds' song Little Boxes)

Nimbin sent us Margaret B for a couple of weeks and Townsville inspired her to make lots of little baskets which she'd learnt to do in Alice Springs at the Beanie Festival. It was lovely getting to know you better Margaret.

Wrapt in Rocky

The Fiberists who made the trip to Wrapt in Rocky were by all accounts wrapt with their experiences! Thank you for the photos Annette.

These images are just a tantalising taste of some of the inspiring results achieved in the workshops.

Doesn't it just make your tongue hang out to join in next time?!

Bits and Bobs

Anne with Margaret and the log book cover Margaret made for her on behalf of all at Fibres.

This is the detail on the cover which Margaret D made for Anne and Michael T's log book to take along on their sailing journey. The log book and a waterproof satchel in which to store it were presented to Anne last week (see previous post).  We all wish you the best adventures, lots of excitement and beautiful times. Have a safe trip!
Val's been using the embellishing machine to great effect and has made some stunning pieces.

And, Arlene's embroidery continues to be an inspiration. Congratulations, Arlene, on winning 7 places at the Townsville Show. Click on the link to Arelene's name under the heading  MEMBERS' BLOGS in the right hand column of this blog to link to some photos of her winning work.
